Umm... What's that Wine

I am happy to say that our customer appreciation wine night was a huge success! I want to thank everyone who came out and I hope you had a good time. Throughout the night I noticed that many of you were asking questions from either myself or Laurie, our wine expert. These questions all seemed to be the same, where was this wine made, how long does it take to age or decant, what foods would be good with this. This got me thinking, these are such common questions that people ask and what could I do to help you guys out to answer these questions. Well voila! I introduce you to my new mobile app What's that Wine.
This app if going to to answer all your questions and more! It is super easy to use, all you have to do is scan the bar code on any bottle of wine and then it will take you to a new screen where it will give you information about the wine. This information is going to include when and where the wine was made, proper decanting time for the wine, good food pairings, serving temperature, and fun facts about the wine. This app is going to come in handy when you are shopping for wine, or when you are at home with a bottle and want to better your experience with it. I encourage everyone to download this app and give it a try because it will truly help you find the right wine for you, and let you get the most out of it, Plus it's free! This week if you come in and prove that you downloaded the app we will give you 10% off your purchase.

How can I ever Thank You?? By having a Wine Night in your Honor of Course.

A few days ago I was having my weekly wine night with my one of my friends. We always have good stories to tell one another. Some how we got on the topic of work and how she is always unsatisfied with her job and wishes she could do something else. Well that got me thinking, I love my job. I love everything about what I do. I am able to help people with an escape to another world through literature, or help ease up the day with a good glass of wine. The relationships I have built with my customers is also highly important to me. You let me into your life and you support me and trust me. Because of my appreciation to all my customers I want to have a wine night with all of you!

Reuse, Reduce, Recycle

I recently took a trip to Oregon and when I was on the trip I took a whale watching tour and we were able to see many other sea life as well. Our tour guide started talking about the pollution of the ocean and how it affects all sea life. As I got up close to the whales and sea lions I started thinking that I should start taking part in helping make the earth a better place for everyone! I started off slowly, recycling better and ensuring that everyone is doing the same, I bring my own reusable bags to the grocery store and try to not buy anything in plastic, when I can. Well I am happy to announce that I and Bri's Book and Wine Bar will be taking this movement a step further. We are working with our suppliers to make sure that all wine bottles are made out of 100% recycled products. If that doesn't excite you yet listen to this, whenever customers bring back their recycled wine bottles from us they will receive 15% off their next wine OR book purchase! I encourage everyone to please join me in making this earth a better place for us now and for the future! we only get one planet so let's make the best of it.
Also, if you haven't done so yet please be sure to check out my new commercial!

Have and Goodreads Lately?

Do you ever feel like you don't know of any books to read? Do you ever go to the library or elibrary and sift through hundreds of different books and you just don't know which one? This has happened to me thousands of times, and I usually end up picking out a book that I don't really like. Well I recently found this social networking site called goodreads. It is an amazing site for book lovers! It basically lets you review books, follow friends, and get recommendations for you. I made a little video for everyone showing what goodreads really is and how to log in and get set up!

Bri's Book and Wine Bar will be using goodreads! So please add us as a friend and you can see all our recommendations! Our weekly book club topic will also be posted on goodreads under the discussion category.
